Introduction

Computer science is the study of the theory, experimentation, and engineering used in the design and use of computers. The rise in digital technology has increased the demand for highly skilled professionals with a thorough understanding of key computer science technologies, combined with the practical skills to solve software issues.

This computing science degree is designed to equip modern graduates to work in this exciting and constantly changing field. Throughout the programme, students are taught academic, professional and personal skills required to develop within the ever-evolving computing and infocomm technology industry.

Academic Requirements

Entry via Year 1
• Obtained at least two GCE A-Levels subjects or equivalent qualifications that demonstrates preparedness for study.

Entry via Year 2
• A PSB Academy's Diploma in InfoComm Technology or Network Defence and Forensic Countermeasures or Cyber Security.
• Equivalent Diplomasin Information Technology from a local polytechnic or other Private Education Institution will be considered as non-standard entries (see below).

Entry via Year 3
• Applicants may be eligible for direct entry into Year 3 with a local Polytechnic Diploma in a closely related discipline. Such applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis in consultation with Coventry University link tutors.

Applicants with any other non-standard qualifications may apply but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by PSB Academy and Coventry University.

Work Experience (if applicable):

  • The requirements for mature candidates remain as 30 years old and above with 8 years of working experience.

Minimum Age Requirement

  • 18 years old

English Language Requirement

  • English Language at GCE O-Level at grade C or above; or
  • Successfully complete PSB Academy’s Certificate in English Proficiency Level 5; or
  • IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent.
