Alumni Class of 2024
School of Engineering and Technology

Studying in Singapore, especially at PSB Academy, exposed me to a wealth of different cultures. At school, I interacted with classmates and faculty from diverse cultural backgrounds. Through lectures, group projects, and extracurricular activities, I collaborated with peers from around the world, each sharing their unique perspectives, traditions, and experiences. These interactions enriched my learning experience and broadened my cultural understanding.

In my computer science major, I delved into computer architecture, programming theory, and the ethical issues in computing technology. I had numerous opportunities to apply what I learned through assignments based on theory, practical application, and implementation. For example, in a big data module, I learned to use data in a machine learning model and successfully implemented the model. In the computer hardware module, I created an efficient video processing programme by leveraging facial recognition machine learning models in tasks related to parallel processing.

Additionally, I gained a deep understanding of what it means to be an engineer in today’s rapidly advancing technological world, including the social and moral implications of technological progress.

My dream is to develop innovative software that enhances people’s lives. Software is an indispensable element in modern society, and I hope the software I create can improve daily lives, solve problems, and provide new experiences.
