How did you hear about PSB Academy, and why did you choose to study here?  

I first heard about PSB Academy from a friend who studied here. I chose PSB Academy because of its strong reputation for offering specialised engineering courses in Singapore. 

What are your career goals for the future and why did you decide to take the course you’re studying now?  

My goal is to become an electrical engineer, and I chose PSB Academy because it has a good electrical engineering diploma. Equipping me with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel and advance in my career.  

What are some skills you’ve picked up from your course that you think will be useful in real life or your future job?  

At PSB Academy, I’ve learnt to efficiently complete coursework and projects within tight deadlines. This skill is invaluable, as it will enable me to work more effectively and manage tasks with greater efficiency in future.   

Do you think studying at a private institution like PSB Academy has given you an edge or put you at a disadvantage? Can you share any experiences that made you feel that way?  

Studying at PSB Academy has definitely given me an edge. The in-depth knowledge and practical skills I gained from my Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Technology have built a strong foundation, which is now helping me as I start my Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. 

Were there any lecturers at PSB Academy who inspired you? If so, who and why?  

Yes! Lecturer Daniel Lim Ah Boon was very inspiring. His approach to teaching was exceptional, especially in the research project module. He provided detailed instructions and offered one-on-one guidance, while also sharing insights into the broader field of engineering beyond the standard curriculum. His support really enhanced my learning experience at PSB Academy.  

What’s the most unforgettable moment you’ve had at PSB Academy?  

The most unforgettable moment at PSB Academy was presenting my research project to my classmates. For this project, I learned about PID controllers, how to plan a project from scratch, and the critical process of debugging – identifying problems, solving them, and thinking like an engineer. I was thrilled to receive a distinction from Lecturer Daniel Lim Ah Boon for my presentation. It was a proud achievement and the perfect finish to my hard work! 

What advice would you give to students who are about to graduate from secondary school and are considering their future career paths?  

If you’re about to graduate from secondary school and contemplating your future career, I highly recommend PSB Academy. Their diploma in engineering courses provide a solid foundation and practical skills that will greatly benefit you in your future job.
