Mode of Assessment

The Executive MBA can be completed even when you are working full-time, and assignments will involve work-integrated projects that are relevant to your current organisation, while supporting your learning in each of the eight courses. Each module consists of assignments such as Reflective journal, Project, and Presentation.

Graduation Requirements

The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program consists of eight courses (80 units). Students are required to complete 80 units of Core courses (8 x 10 units courses).

Upon successful completion of all required modules, students will be awarded the Executive Master of Business Administration from The University of Newcastle, Australia. The degree awarded will be the same as that to the on-campus graduates.

Maximum Candidature

48 months upon start of the programme

Academic Requirements

A minimum of seven years relevant work experience plus an undergraduate degree (AQF level 7 or equivalent) or higher in any field of study

OR

A minimum ten years of relevant organisational experience, including three years in a management position.

All potential participants will be required to attend an interview and submit an Admission Writing Task which will assist in establishing whether potential participants are committed to, and prepared for, this type of MBA programme.

English Language Requirement

All Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the University’s English proficiency requirement.

Applicants for this program must satisfy a minimum English Language Proficiency Standard equivalent to an IELTS overall minimum of 6.5 with no subtest result below 6.0.

English language test scores must be less than 2 years old at the date of application to the University of Newcastle, Australia.

*Terms & Conditions:

  1. The Course Fee Rebates are valid only for newly enrolled students who apply (with paid application fee) on or before 30 June 2025 for Aug 2025 intake.
  2. The Course Fee Rebates promotion is not stackable with the Student Referral Scheme.
  3. Progressing rebates, in-house scholarship, or any other discounts where amount is of higher value will be granted (subject to approval) and is non-stackable with study rebates.
