Introduction

The Bachelor of Information Sciences with a double major in Computer Science and Information Technology Degree prepares graduates for careers in the global software industry.

The Computer Science major has been developed to lead to careers in Software Development and Software Architecture and focuses on the Java and C++ programming languages.

The Information Technology major has been developed to lead to careers in Software Testing, Web Design, Database Administration and Systems Analysis. The Degree also provides a solid foundation for graduates who wish to proceed to post-graduate study in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Graduation Requirements

Upon successful completion of all required modules, students will be awarded the Bachelor of Information Sciences with a double major in Computer Science and Information Technology from Massey University. The degree awarded will be the same as that to the on-campus graduates

 

Maximum Candidature: The maximum candidature period for all candidates is 42 months.

Duration

The programme can be completed within 24 - 36 months.

Terms: 2 to 3 modules in a trimester.

  • Successful completion of PSB Academy Certificate in Engineering Foundation or Certificate in InfoComm Technology or Certificate in Engineering and Information Technology or
  • Successful completion of PSB Academy Certificate in Engineering Foundation (E-Learning) or Certificate in InfoComm Technology (E-Learning) with a minimum overall C grade and grade C in Foundation Mathematics module. Or
  • Equivalent qualification that demonstrates preparedness for study.

 

Entry Via Year 1 with 90 credits

  • Successful completion of any of the following PSB Academy Diplomas.
