Alumni Class of 2025
School of Business and Management

When I chose to pursue my degree in Media and Communications with The University of Newcastle, Australia (UON) at PSB Academy, I was looking for more than just academic knowledge. I wanted to sharpen my creative edge and build a solid foundation for real-world impact. I’ve always been passionate about creating meaningful content, and this programme gave me the skills to do that with clarity, purpose, and intention.

The journey wasn’t without its challenges. Balancing studies, work, and life required resilience and discipline. But as I look back, every step was truly worth it. This programme opened my eyes to new perspectives on communication and pushed me to think more strategically and intentionally in how I craft and share messages.

The knowledge I’ve gained has been incredibly relevant. From creating effective social content to communicating value clearly and authentically, the skills I’ve acquired help me make a difference in how I engage with clients and stakeholders. Whether it’s short-form videos or everyday interactions, this degree gave me an edge.

Earning this qualification has given me the confidence to elevate my work and explore new possibilities. It has reminded me that storytelling and strategy aren’t limited to one industry — they’re universal skills that unlock opportunities across every field.

If there’s one piece of advice I’d share with future students, it’s this: your background doesn’t define your potential. Stay curious, stay open, and use what you’ve learned to make your own path. That’s where real growth begins.
