I started my educational journey with PSB Academy back in 2005, pursuing a part-time Diploma in Human Resource Management. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to pass all the modules and had to discontinue the course due to some personal commitments. However, the dream of furthering my education never left me.

Now, as a mother of two, with my children both grown up, I decided it was the right time to pick up my education where I left off, this time focusing on a discipline more closely related to my role as an Assistant Relationship Manager in the banking industry.

I was browsing PSB Academy’s website and came across the Diploma in Business Studies (E-Learning), which felt like the perfect fit. After understanding the details of the course and that I could have the luxury of studying fully online at my own pace, I enrolled.

Each module featured different topics taught through video tutorials. Being able to replay the tutorials, particularly for complex accounting formulas, was a game-changer for me.

Throughout this online diploma, I’ve gained valuable skills in leadership and management, which have improved how I lead teams, manage projects, and motivate others both at work and in community settings. The accounting skills I’ve gained have equipped me to record, summarise, and analyse financial transactions – skills that are invaluable for my career and everyday life.

As a working mother, PSB Academy has given me the opportunity to pursue my goals without sacrificing other commitments. I get to set aside time each night to study, thanks to my family’s unwavering support of my learning.

To anyone considering further education, my advice is simple: go for it! Age is just a number, and your dreams are worth pursuing. Take that first step, and you won’t regret it!
