As a fitness coach, I empower multiple individuals with the knowledge and skillset required for them to be able to take charge of their health and fitness. Therefore, it was vital for me to gain a greater level of understanding of the human body. Moreover, I wanted to set a higher standard of fitness coaching in Singapore’s underdeveloped fitness industry. To do that, I would need to equip myself with the relevant knowledge and skills.
I enrolled into a sports science diploma at PSB Academy, where I learned the fundamentals of human anatomy, nutrition, psychology, sports coaching and skills analysis. The amiable timetable and familiarity of the school, coupled with the flexibility to continue my freelance coaching, led me to pursue my sports science degree with Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) at PSB Academy.
My qualifications from PSB Academy and ENU have appealed to many employers and supervisors, enabling me to pass various interviews and tests. They have also helped me to resolve specific issues faced by my clients. The modules allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the human physiology, aiding me in providing a higher standard of service to my clients.
