After learning about PSB Academy through social media, I chose to study here as it was able to provide me with a comfortable and conducive learning environment. As an account assistant manager at BHS Kinetic Pte Ltd, pursuing a degree course in Business and Finance was one of the ways that could help to enhance my career.

Previously, I was more focused on how I contributed as an individual. However, the experience I had with PSB Academy has helped to shape me both as an individual as well as a team player. Personally, I find my presentation skills have also improved through all the presentations that I had to do in class, which I’m glad to say has also helped me at work. I also find that the curriculum was well-paced even though the topics can be dense.

Apart from that, the two technical skills that I acquired from my course, namely statistics and accounting, have proven to be useful to my work life. These two skills have helped me to understand, analyse and apply solutions effectively in my current role. This was also made possible with great lecturers such as Dr Balakrishnan and Mr Clyde Roberts whose knowledge and teaching have imparted me with valuable skills.

Despite the stigma surrounding private education, I believe that at the end of the day, a bachelor’s degree shows the determination the individual has in completing the degree while juggling other areas in life. Employers, especially, recognise these efforts and sacrifices that the students have made to better themselves. Also, having a bachelor’s degree does help to provide more work opportunities. Although my journey in pursuing a degree has its own challenges, I would still recommend PSB Academy to my family and friends
