Here at PSB Academy, we strongly encourage our students to go through the journey of career preparation from the first day they step into school. We have divided the journey into 3 hashtags as checkpoints for students to follow up and track their progress throughout.

By taking arguably the hardest, yet most important first step out, students will be able to learn much more about themselves beyond their regular curriculum. By joining events such as our industry visits, students will be able to experience first-hand how a company functions, network with our industry partners and explore potential career opportunities.

Having experienced what to expect in the corporate world, students are encouraged to explore beyond their comfort zones by participating in our Career Workshops, Industry-Specific Career Talks, Career Conferences and even engaging with an industry mentor for their expert guidance. This will help ensure that students be ready for their job search way before their graduation.

The final checkpoint for every student will be the day when they are ready to suit up and enter the corporate world. At PSB Academy’s annual career fair, graduating students will be given a chance to interact with employers from all over Singapore, be at their best and land themselves a job opportunity.

Even as a new student, you should already start taking the first steps towards planning for the ideal career start.

Here are some activities to get YOU started:

Aside from the normal classroom learnings, you are encouraged to acquire real world experiences through our industry visits to gain a greater exposure to the industry, both locally and overseas.

Another method for you to gain real-world exposure during the course of your education will be to participate in events as a volunteer! Volunteering allows you to gain the necessary work experience and it is flexible to your own schedules!

At PSB Academy, we are committed to helping students be career-ready through an array of career preparation services. This includes imparting essential life and career skills through our monthly workshops

Through this process, we ensure that you will be well prepared to #StepUp, acquire vital soft skills to impress your job interviewers, and ultimately land the career of your dreams.

The first #StepUp for you to take will be to partake in our annual Career Conference! This is a half day event consisting of a pre-conference fair to let you engage with our industry partners and find out more about how you can start engaging the industry you are interested in! Following which will be the conference where we invite top experts from their industry to tell you all about what they look out for in an ideal candidate! Finally, the conference is capped off with a fireside chat and it is joined by a few of PSB Academy’s very own alumni and they will share with you their very own experiences when it comes to searching for a job as a fresh graduate!

The Career Clinic is conducted towards the end of every month and it allows you a chance to speak with a HR Specialist from PSB Academy or our Industry Partners in a 1-to-1 session for either their opinions on how you can perfect your resume or master the art of a job interview!

Besides showcasing different job openings, career workshops are conducted to equip you with the right skills for your resume writing and interview. Every networking event is an opportunity for individuals to #SuitUp and interact with working professionals from all over Singapore to get engaged and the connections could very well serve as your portal to your next job opportunity.

After graduating from PSB Academy, you will automatically be considered an alumni of our school. This allows you to partake in special events that are organized exclusively for our alumni, old or new! You will be given the opportunity to networking with fellow alumni who could be your seniors.
