I have always been keen on investments and trading; as such, I wanted a business degree focusing on finance modules. Before enrolling, I was debating between a couple of universities, but I decided to join the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business and Finance at Coventry University as they offered a balance of business and finance modules.
The knowledge and multiple skillsets that I’ve gained are applicable to my current career. Public presentations were never my forte due to my personality. However, presentations are needed for some of my modules, and it has pushed me beyond my comfort zone. As I go through the semesters, I am slowly building up my confidence and applying them to my work.
Due to the current pandemic, we are unable to head back for face-to-face classes. However, the course structure is well-planned, and the lecturers are very helpful and interactive even though they are held online.
It isn’t easy to juggle between a full-time job with my degree studies and other personal commitments, as it requires discipline and time management. But I know there are no shortcuts to my future goals, and I’ll have to persevere until I reach them.
